Automate DEVONthink
DEVONthink offers plenty of power and utility when used manually—dragging stuff in; finding, organizing, and editing things; and sharing or exporting things. But you can also put DEVONthink to work for you by configuring it to automate repetitive or time-consuming tasks. Although older versions of DEVONthink supported AppleScript, DEVONthink 3 also includes several other types of automation.
In this chapter, I cover four main ways to automate DEVONthink: using smart rules, reminders, AppleScript, and smart templates.
