Chapter 9. Tame Safari

The iPhone's version of Safari, called MobileSafari, is a "true" Web browser—most pages look and feel as they would appear in Safari on your Mac. The mechanics of navigating the browser are also quite similar. As such, you likely already know how to use Mobile-Safari. Still, the first part of this section ("Browser Basics") offers an overview of MobileSafari's basic features. The remainder of this section focuses on two topics that go beyond the basics:

  • MobileSafari is missing an assortment of features found in its larger sibling; however as I show in Add Missing Features (p. 116), you can overcome most of these omissions.
