Collaborate with Others

We’ve been talking about organizing your files, but you probably don’t live in a document bubble. Other people, and their files, often need to find a place in your system, or you find yourself actively working with them on projects.

In determining how best to collaborate, evaluate how the files will be used:

  • You might need to simply share a file with someone nearby.

  • You may share a collection of files for a project, such as artwork provided by you, spreadsheets made by another person, and copywriting created by a third. A shared repository that everyone can access could work well here.

  • The participants may all need to access the same documents, edit them simultaneously, and mark up and review everyone’s edits. A good ...
