Relearn Control Center

Apple has completely redesigned Control Center in iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 to be 100% customizable. Previously, you could add and remove certain controls, but many were baked in—whether you used them or not. Control Center now has multiple pages you can switch among by swiping up and down on the screen.

In the long run, the new Control Center will be a blessing, but for now it means taking time to set things up how you want them and retraining your muscle memory.

To access Control Center on iPhones without Home buttons and on iPads, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen (Figure 21). On iPhones with Home buttons, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
