Creating Affiliate Accounts
To set up our Stripe account to deal with Stripe Connect, we need to decide how we are going to interact with affiliate accounts. Stripe allows for two different mechanisms, depending on whether or not the affiliate has its own Stripe account.
To prevent confusion over exactly which account needs to do what, let’s start by defining our players:

Player 1 is us, the Snow Globe Theater. We’ll refer to our Stripe account as the primary account.

Player 2 is the end user—the people buying a ticket, possibly via an affiliate link. We’ll still call these folks users, and their interactions with us don’t change.
