Validating Affiliates
Just setting up Stripe to make the transfer isn’t enough. Stripe needs to verify the identity of the user you are transferring money to because of things like “not wanting to be defrauded” and “not wanting to violate the law.” So, before Stripe will transfer money to a managed account, we need to provide Stripe with enough information to satisfy Stripe that the user is a real person, that the account exists, that the money is not going to be used for illegal purposes, and so on.
