The current state of the market is a tale of two eras that consequently involve two generations. Some may say that the dot-com bubble and the crash in 2008 killed the old and created opportunity for the new. It is a sad situation for the older generation who was near retirement but now has had to postpone retirement or be forced into a less than expected quality of life because of a crash that occurred near the end of their working careers. On the contrary, for those like me, the crash has created opportunity and a market marked with fear, which has created value in many fast-growing companies.
