Most educational dilemmas I hear about are related to cheating. Schools are expected not only to educate, but to act as gatekeepers to jobs and more advanced schools. Good grades are often the key to opening the gate. I’m not sure this is a wise use of grades, but we are stuck with it, and it puts students under pressure to make As. They sometimes do it by cheating. The most frequent cheating dilemmas concern students who are asked by “friends” to help them cheat or conceal cheating.
