About the Research

This project and book were born out of the question:

What attracts top talent?

Our original intent was to purchase secondary research to answer this question. I was shocked to find no such research existed; therefore, we commissioned our own. We partnered with Prophet, a global brand agency, and AON, a global leader in Human Resources, to help us throughout the journey.

During the various phases of the project, we used four independent research methods: live interviews with leaders and top talent, ethnography, a quantitative survey comparing responses from top and typical talent (samples derived from historical performance data), and a multistage panel survey.
