SUSTAINABILITY IS AN UMBRELLA CONCEPT that covers a wide range of business activities; in fact, almost anything that can have impacts on the environment, society, or the economy can be included in it. The Triple Bottom Line identifies the three main areas, but the specific elements that apply to your organization will depend on the industry you are in, the products or services you provide, your place in the value chain, the suppliers and other businesses with which you work, and other details of your operation.
