Say ‘yes’ to ‘no’
The word ‘no’ is usually the first word that young toddlers learn; and this holds true in most languages.
In any social or work context it’s difficult to say ‘no’ or to say it assertively. In a social context it may be appropriate without giving reasons, but in the working world refusing and giving acceptable reasons why is important – because it has a bearing on relationships.
How many relationships have been ruined through being unable to say ‘no’?
