Warning: lecture ahead. Sometimes in the course of a coaching session I'm suddenly struck with the urge to deliver a lecture. I'm fully aware of the fact that lecturing is outlawed as far as coaches are concerned—we're supposed to restrict ourselves to collaborative inquiry with our clients. This is my usual approach, but every so often I am overwhelmed with the impulse to speechify.
