Before we get started…I believe it is particularly important, when getting advice from someone, to know and understand where that person is coming from and how they arrived at their perspective. My father’s influence and my upbringing were the main reasons I decided to become an engineer and ultimately an entrepreneur. My father was a combination, mechanic, electrician, handyman, engineer, entrepreneur, and overall problem solver. He owned a gas station and a mechanic and parts shop where my older brother and I spent most of our free time working during our youth.
