Troubleshoot iTunes Sync Problems
To keep your iPhone charged and loaded with your current data and media files from your computer, connect it regularly to your computer and sync it using iTunes. Connection and syncing are usually straightforward, but you may sometimes find that iTunes does not recognize your iPhone when you connect it. When this happens, you will have to troubleshoot the physical connection and iTunes’ settings. If iTunes is not set to sync automatically with your iPhone, you must start the sync manually.
