Set Up Your Mail Accounts

The easiest way to set up an e-mail account on your iPhone is to synchronize the details from your PC or Mac, as discussed in Chapter 2. But if the e-mail account is not set up on the computer with which you synchronize the iPhone, you can set the account up directly on the iPhone as explained in this task.

To set up an e-mail account, you need to know the e-mail address and password, as well as the e-mail provider. You may also need to know the addresses of the mail servers the account uses. For Microsoft Exchange, you must know the domain name as well.
