Open and Close an Application
To use an application, you must first open it. You can open an application from the Dock if the application’s icon appears there, or from either Launchpad or the Applications folder if it does not. When you have finished using an application, you close it by giving a Quit command.
The Dock is the quickest way to launch applications you use frequently. Launchpad is a quick and easy way to see all the applications installed on your Mac mini. Because Launchpad shows all the apps, you will seldom need to use the Applications folder to launch an application.
