Connect to a Wireless Network
Your Mac has built-in wireless networking capabilities that you can use to connect to a wireless network that is within range. This could be a network in your home, your office, or a public location such as a coffee shop. In most cases, this also gives you access to the wireless network’s Internet connection.
Most wireless networks have security turned on, which means you must know the correct password to connect to the network. However, after you have connected to the network once, your Mac remembers the password, and connects again automatically the next time the network comes within range.
