Synchronize an iPod, iPhone, or iPad
You can take your media and other data with you by synchronizing that data from OS X to your device. For media, you can synchronize the music, movies, and TV shows in your iTunes library, as well as the photos in your iPhoto library, to your iPod, iPhone, or iPad. However, you should synchronize movies and TV shows with care. A single half-hour TV episode may be as large as 650MB, and full-length movies can be several gigabytes, so even a modest video collection will consume a lot of storage space on your device.
