Chapter 9: Configuring Workflow

You can use workflow automation features to improve the speed and efficiency of your business processes. Automation has two elements. Workflow rules monitor records for specific changes. Actions send an e-mail, create a task, update a field, or connect to an outside system when a record is updated or created and a rule is triggered. Automation can add significant intelligence to your instance of Salesforce.
