Outlook functions as a personal organizer, with Mail, Calendar, People, Tasks, and Notes components. You switch between these components using the Navigation bar.

The Outlook Mail component appears by default when you open Outlook, and enables you to send and receive email messages. The Outlook Calendar component enables you to keep track of appointments.
