CHAPTER 7

Recording a Meeting

You can create a recording of a Zoom meeting. Recording a meeting is useful for training purposes or to meet the legal requirements of your business. Having a recording is also handy for users who were unable to attend the meeting. You can save recordings locally on your computer or online in the cloud.

As the meeting host, you can record a Zoom meeting and save the recording to your computer. This is called making a local recording of the meeting. See the next two sections if you want to make a cloud recording instead.

After you start the local recording, you can pause if you come to a portion of the meeting that you do not want recorded. Zoom automatically stops the recording when the meeting ends, but you can also stop the recording at any time while the meeting is still on.
