8.6. Create Effects with Duplicate Photos
You can create some eye-catching effects by duplicating photos, sequencing them together in a slideshow, and adding an effect to one of the copies. For example, a photo can start out black and white, then gradually fade into color if the first instance of the photo has a black-and-white effect applied and a dissolve transition is used.

In the Source list, click an album to make into a slideshow.
Click a photo that you want to use for the effect.
Click Photos.
