13.1. Memory Cards and Memory Card Readers
The memory cards that you use for your digital camera are the digital equivalent to film. Digital cameras capture photo image data and store it to a memory card. Depending on the size of the memory card and the format of the images, a memory card could hold just a few images to hundreds of images. The quality and proper care of your memory cards play an important role in the longevity of your photo files.
