13.2. Using Memory Cards Properly
A memory card is an electronic device and is susceptible to corruption. The first line of defense in protecting the images on a memory card is to always buy brand-name memory cards from reputable vendors that you trust. This decreases your chance of buying fake memory cards that appear to be brand name. There are things you can do to protect the image files on your memory card and avoid most problems, if you follow a few simple guidelines while using them.
