4.1. Using Photo Information

The information that you provide for imported photos, including titles, descriptions, and keywords, makes the task of searching for photos in the iPhoto Library easier. Knowing the type of photo information at your disposal enables you to use the iPhoto searching mechanisms more effectively.

Titles and Descriptions

The title and description that you give a photo or group of photos after import play a significant role in your ability to later locate that photo. The original file name on the hard drive can also be used to locate an image using the Search box at the bottom of the iPhoto viewing area.
