2.1. Define a New Web Site

Before you create your Web pages, you need to define your site in Dreamweaver and set up a root folder where you can store all the files in your site. Defining a root site folder enables Dreamweaver to manage your files in the Files panel and properly set links. As you set up your site, you can create a new folder on your hard drive or select an existing folder as your root folder. For more information on the Files panel, see Chapter 14, "Publishing a Web Site."
