14.6. Set Up a Remote Site

Before you can publish your Web site in Dreamweaver, you need to set up the remote site to create a connection to your Web server. You set up a remote site by entering the FTP information, including your username and password, for your Web server. You can then use Dreamweaver to transfer your files from your computer to the remote server.

Note: Before you can set up a remote site, you need to set up your local site and define it in Dreamweaver. To do so, see Chapter 2.
