4.2. Work in Design View and Code View

You can switch to Code view in the Document window to inspect and edit the XHTML and other code on the Web page. You can use the Split view to see both the XHTML code and Design view at the same time.

You will probably do most of your work in Design view, which displays your page the way it will appear in most Web browsers, but it is a good practice to use Split view because it can help you learn XHTML.
