Distance Matters
Each day in class is a morality play with those in attendance cast as the actors. This could include visitors (parents, friends of students, visiting faculty), the students, and the teacher. It is the interaction effect that produces the outcomes for each actor in the play. The central actors consist of eighty students who each come with a history consisting of family, geographical location from somewhere around the world, socioeconomic history, family history, work experience, and previous college experience. The case room is divided by concentric rows of students beginning with the sky deck (farthest from the instructor) down to the worm deck (closest to the instructor).
