Teams are everywhere. In business we have new product teams, quality teams, and project teams. In sports we have offensive teams, defensive teams, first teams, second teams, special teams, and all-star teams. In the arts a team is referred to in a variety of ways, including cast, crew, ensemble, company, and troupe. In politics we have party, caucus, coalition, committee, and council.
Teams have an important place in our professional and personal lives. But not every group is a team and not every team is effective.
