Charting Software
Without charting software, you will have to pore through the financial tables in your local newspaper to find each day’s data and then plot them by hand. How many stocks can you follow in that way? The answer is probably not too many. Even though you do not need real-time data, you do need to be able to track hundreds, if not thousands, of different stocks over the course of your investing career. You will not have to track them all at the same time, but you can watch several dozen at any one time.
