A Quiet Wire-Rope Curtain Track

 

Wire-rope curtain tracks are not new. However, such systems are often noisy and can be quite bulky. We developed the following system to meet the following requirements:

1. to support a continuous bobbinet panel 60′ wide, 11′ high,

2. to incorporate a very slim, visually unobtrusive, curtain track,

3. to allow movement quiet enough to hear dialogue over,

4. to allow for smooth movement of the curtain by an actor onstage,

5. to restrict maximum sag to 6″ at the center of the track.
