A Stock Safety Rail System |

Safety rails for escape units are often assembled as an afterthought. After load-in, when attention focuses on finishing the set, finishing these rails often takes a low priority compared to the notes from tech rehearsals. At the University of Southern California we built a modular safety rail system that bolts together quickly and fits our stock escape units regardless of how they happen to be laid out for a given show. In addition, the system includes a type of foot connection that allows the stair rails to fit either side of our escape stair units.
