Overview

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier research and development organization of the Department of Information Technology under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology tasked to carry out research and development in the fields of information technology, electronics and associated areas. The centre was set up in 1988 originally to build supercomputers in view of denial of supercomputers by the United States.
