This book is about technical management in the world of entertainment production—backstage work—and more specifically a resource for technical managers involved in the performing arts. This audience is both at once broad and to a certain extent specific. A few readers may need to interpolate what is discussed here in order to fit their own position, but since it is likely many actively employed in the entertainment industry got their start in live theatre, this bridge should not be insurmountable.
