Code Development Expectations

In this chapter, we’ll cover code development expectations for a TPM that is working in a software environment. As discussed in this book, there are other specializations of the TPM role, in particular a hardware-facing TPM, that may not find this chapter as relevant. However, the majority of TPMs in the industry are working with software teams, including some hardware TPMs, so this is an important topic to cover. Though programming isn’t a core competency that you should expect to see come up in an interview, it is foundational to project and program success.
