Appendix E. MATLAB and Control Toolbox Tutorial
Objectives
Provide a brief introduction to MATLAB commands.
Introduce the Control System toolbox.
MATLAB is an interactive program for scientific and engineering numeric calculations. It includes graphics (2D and 3D), programmable macros, interface to C and Fortran objects, and a graphical user interface (GUI) for block diagram simulation of linear and nonlinear systems (called SIMULINK). It is used for numeric computation, algorithm prototyping, control system analysis, signal processing, statistics, and optimization. MATLAB is available on a wide variety of platforms including Windows and Unix.
