E.1 Introduction

The scope of this appendix is to carry out a comparison of the performances of different space division switch fabric architectures in the dynamic switching mode. Using the same approach we used for time division bus-based switch fabrics in Chapter 7, we will estimate the saturated throughput, which is the maximum throughput the switch fabric is able to provide.
