Chapter 10

Estimation and Synchronization

So far in this book, we have considered two channel effects. Prior to Chapter 9, we considered channels adding a noisen(t) o the sent signal. In Chapter 9, we said the channel in fact added more than just a noise; it also acted as a filter with impulse response c(t). In this chapter, we again add to what channels do–we make them more realistic.
