What You Should Know Before Marketing
If you are writing for television, the script is the most important writing sample you have. This is your calling card for a possible freelance writing assignment. Get your agent to submit your script to a producer of a similar-genre show. If it shows professional talent, then you might be invited to a pitch. Revise and tighten your script before submitting it anywhere. Be very objective and thorough in your revisions. Read Chapter 10, Script Revisions, and go through the script revision checklist, then polish it. This is the only chance you get to impress agents and producers.
