What Is Your Purpose?

Let’s go to the movies for a sec. “Your mission should you choose to accept it is to recover the stolen item designated Chimera.” If you’ve ever wanted to understand a mission statement, look to any of the Ethan Hunt/Tom Cruise movies where he is given his mission before the recording self-destructs and sparks an exciting, thrilling adventure. It’s right in the title of the movie, Mission: Impossible. A mission statement is a goal. It’s a straightforward objective.
