Capitalism as an ideology expresses the idea that the purpose of organizations is to grow and deliver profit for their shareholders. We accept this, almost blindly. Since 2008, a new specter of inequality has begun to be reported in regard to tax avoidance and evasion, with respect to both wealthy individuals and big businesses. The observation is that although the individuals and organizations involved are not doing anything illegal, their actions are morally wrong. When Amazon, Google, and Starbucks were exposed for not paying any corporation tax on UK sales, many would have shrugged their shoulders ...
