Replacing a Cell's Content

If the old content is completely wrong, it's best to enter new data from scratch. To replace the old content in a field:

  1. Select the cell. Do this by moving to it with the keyboard (see Table 10.1 in Lesson 10) or by clicking it.

    If you are going to select the cell by clicking it, position the mouse pointer at the left edge of the field so the mouse pointer becomes a plus sign (see Figure 11.1); then click once. That way you select the entire content.

  2. Type the new data. The new data replaces the old data.
