Entering Data in a Form

The whole point of creating a form is so you can enter data more easily into your tables. The form acts as an attractive "mask" that shields you from the plainness of your table. Once you create a form, follow these steps to enter data into it:

  1. Open the form:

    • If your form appears in Form Design view, select View, Form to enter Form view or select Form View from the View button.

    • If the form isn't open at all, click the Form tab in the Database window and double-click the form's name or click the Open button.

  2. Click the field you want to begin with and type your data.

  3. Press Tab to move to the next field. If you need to go back, you can press Shift+Tab to move to the previous field. When you reach the last field, pressing ...
