Importing from a Database Program

All the database programs that Access supports imports from (FoxPro, Paradox, and dBase) have file formats that are similar enough to Access that there's no fuss.

After you click on Import (step 5 in the previous procedure), Access takes a moment, then displays a message like Successfully imported file name. That's all there is to it; the imported table appears on the Tables tab of your database.

Importing from a Spreadsheet

If you followed the preceding procedure for a spreadsheet file, the Import Spreadsheet Wizard opens next, as shown in Figure 29.2.
