Slide 1: Overview
You’ve made a connection with your investor, noted anything out of the ordinary (such as someone you didn’t expect to be at the meeting), and told a good story. You have their attention.
In this stage of the presentation, you’ll need to hook them with the strongest points proving that yours is an interesting investment. To develop the most effective opening slide (see Figures 8-1 and 8-2), put yourself in the investors’ shoes and consider what they want to hear. As they watch your slide, you want them to be thinking things like:
- “This is a big market, crying out for a solution . . .”
- “They appear to have something new that ...
