Mel Silberman, PhD, is the editor of the Training and Performance Sourcebooks and the Learning and Leadership Organization Development Sourcebooks. He is also author or editor of 20 books, including Active Training (Pfeiffer, 1998), 101 Ways to Make Meetings Active (Pfeiffer, 1999), PeopleSmart (Berrett-Koehler, 2000), Working PeopleSmart (Berrett-Koehler, 2004), and Training the Active Training Way (Pfeiffer, 2006). Mel is a professor emeritus of adult and organizational development at Temple University, where he received the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching and the Great Teacher Award.
