This chapter focuses on tips and tricks related to working with the type tools, as well as design and layout. While Chapter 1 covers the basics of working with multiple artboards, this chapter expands on some of the more advanced issues of working with multiple artboards.

The many CS6 & CC Type panels

Once you create a text object with the Type tool, before you go hunting for one of the 7 type-related panels, check to see if what you need appears in the Control panel. If you’re on CC, you’ll also have the more robust Properties panel to check. If you still want or need a more specialized type panel, access all of them from the Window> Type submenu.
