In the preceding chapter, I emphasised on the problems of the unequal greying of the world. The fact that developed countries are greying ahead of developing countries creates a number of problems. There will be problems of an unstoppable stream of legal or illegal immigrants, ethnic dilution, cleft societies and others. But ageing itself has its problems.
There is the well-known notion of the youth culture where the stress is on the fast changing nature of the young. The corresponding attribute of older people is that they change less.
