Beginning the Journey into the Unknown
A WISH LIST
All of us are destined to age no matter how hard we try to avoid it.1 We will age early or late depending on our lifestyle and the condition of our body, including our genetic makeup. Ageing also advances at different rates in different people. A remarkably fit person is at times seen to age fast following a heart attack or bereavement. With these realities and possibilities in place, a meaningful wish could only be to delay ageing, and once it visits us, for it to progress benignly. Another wish, which is considered normal, is to live long, though many will not ask for an unusually long life, outliving friends and relatives, and then facing a progressive loneliness.
